We’re understandably proud of our facility here at Zero Gravity and all the services we offer to people looking to have fun. And while we’re always happy to have people come down and enjoy time with us, we also know that there are other things to do in the Mounds View area.
Mounds View Community Theatre
If there’s a desire to catch a Broadway-style show during the summer, the Mounds View Community Theatre is certain to satisfy. With an all-volunteer cast, crew and orchestra, you can support the arts in Minneapolis and have fun doing it at the same time. Check out their website for this season’s performance schedule.
Foshay Museum and Observatory
There was a time during the Roaring ’20s when building a skyscraper was as much an artistic expression as it was an architectural effort or an engineering exercise. The Foshay Tower was one of those skyscrapers, and the current owners have tucked away a museum at the top to commemorate the building’s unique history. The observation deck is open to the public, for a modest fee, and gives visitors a unique vantage point with free telescopes to scan the area.
An entire park filled with classically styled and contemporary sculptures with the Minneapolis skyline as a backdrop? Sounds like a nice place to spend a lazy day. The Minneapolis Sculpture Garden has been a longtime tourist attraction. Its proximity to Loring Park and the Basilica of St. Mary make it an easy stop for those doing a walking tour of Minneapolis, and its status as part of the Walker Art Center ensures there’s plenty more culture to be found nearby.
Boom Island Park
If your idea of fun involves fishing, playing frisbee with your dog and generally being away from the hustle and bustle of the city, Boom Island Park might just be what you’re looking for. Part of the city’s park system, and easily accessed by various city trails, Boom Island Park sits along the Mississippi River and offers plenty of space for roaming and relaxing, as well as an impressive view of the city skyline.
We’re not going to be upset if you check out these and other interesting locations, but if you’re up for it, you can always come down to Zero Gravity for our brand of fun as well. Give us a call today.
